In the heart of Tuyan Naga City, Franz Ubas of 3Fs Shop has taken the concept of customization to a whole new level with his latest creation – a Yamaha Sniper 150 transformed into a MotoGP masterpiece inspired by the iconic Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team. This custom Yamaha Sniper was built for his client Jovany Steven Navares a freelance software engineer based in Babag 2 Lapulapu Cebu.
Building this two-wheeled marvel was far from a casual endeavor. It was a meticulous journey filled with research, dedication, and a global quest for parts that would seamlessly fit the MotoGP theme. Parts were sourced from Malaysia, Thailand, and Manila, with some components taking months to arrive in Cebu.
One of the standout features of this Petronas MotoGP-inspired Yamaha Sniper 150 is the RZ Racing Pro arm swingarm, designed to accommodate wider rear tires. Paired with BMW Mags and high-performance Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires, the bike not only looks the part but promises an unmatched on-road experience.
Ubas and his team went the extra mile to ensure top-notch performance, upgrading the suspension with high-performance Ohlins Rear Suspension and Inverted Forks Front suspension from Malaysia. The braking system was given meticulous attention, featuring Brembo Dual Brake Calipers (Front), Brembo Single Brake Caliper (Rear), Brembo Dual disk rotors (Front), Option1 Brake Fluid lines, and Earls high-performance brake lines.
Under the hood, the Petronas-inspired Sniper 150 boasts a powerful MVR1 Dry clutch, Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator, Ohlins steering damper, and a Toce Yamaha R6 exhaust system. These components not only enhance the bike's performance but also contribute to the distinctive growl echoing the MotoGP spirit.
Racing Boy aftermarket parts play a significant role in this build, with features such as the Racing Boy Master cylinder (Rear), Racing Boy Master Cylinders (dual-front), Racing Boy brake & clutch levers, Racing Boy Rearset, and Racing Boy Side stand. These components not only enhance functionality but also add a touch of racing flair.
The bike's aesthetics are equally impressive, featuring custom fiberglass work like the belly pan and a custom-made seat. Custom decals meticulously designed for this project bring the Petronas MotoGP theme to life, completing the look and ensuring that every detail screams MotoGP excellence.
Franz Ubas and the 3Fs Shop Crew have not just built a custom bike; they've created a rolling piece of art that pays homage to the adrenaline-fueled world of MotoGP. The Petronas MotoGP-inspired Yamaha Sniper 150 is a testament to the passion, precision, and innovation that defines the custom bike culture in Tuyan Naga City. It's not just a motorcycle; it's a symphony of speed, style, and the relentless pursuit of perfection.
