Hot Bikes and hot babes, nobody does it like the Bansalan Airbrush Bike Club
of Davao del Sur. The first ever Bansalan : Bike and Babe Show 2009 was a
smashing success.

This event was sponsored by San Miguel Beer and organized by the Bansalan
Airbrush Bike Club. It was held at Kianas Hidden Resto Bar and Water Fun
in Bansalan Davao del Sur last September 13, 2009. Over 200 riders attended
the event coming from different cities and municipalities. It was also co-sponsored
by Pepsi Cola, Emperador Brandy and Kianas Resto Bar.

The different bike clubs who took part in the event are the ff.
a. Davao City, DC Riders, Tacomatrix
b. Tagum city, Soar Riders, DYRC
c. Digos City, KRC, GRO
d. Bansalan davao del Sur, Bansalan Airbrush Bike club, Pink riders, and Exploriders
e. Kidapawan City, Kidapawan motor enthusiast
d. Kabacan, Kabacan Bike enthusiast

The event opens up with a massive motorcade which literally shook things up in
Bansalan. The locals were pretty much in awe to see an endless stream of bikes,
it was truly an impressive sight to behold. After the motorcade the participants
were treated to a mouth watering lunch at Kianas. They also enjoyed the live
performance of Rap band "The Elemental Paraphets" and other local bands.
While the crowd was entertained the judges proceeded with their rounds in
scoring and scrutinizing the bikes. The judges of the show were Karl P. Badilles
a member of Bansalan Airbrush Bike Club, ECE Engr. Insp in the bureau of fire protection,
Aldrin Tumanda a computer artist twice sent to japan for his work as an artist in
Nakayama tech. corp, and a bike enthusiast and Nestor Metilla a member of Zodiac
riders, and an architect by profession, obviously these judges were pretty hard
to impress and the crowd eagerly awaited their decisions. The awarding of the winners brought
wild cheers from the crowd as the riders claimed their hard earned victory. After the
awarding the crowd was certainly ready to party and what more than a Bikini Babe Contest
to really heat things up and bring a climactic end to the festivities.

The Bike and Babe show was a success but the organizers encountered some minor
obstacles during the show. They had problems in organizing the different categories
which presented a problem in the prizing which was now spread out. Aside from that
some of their potential sponsors did not push through after shifting their support
to a race event. But despite all that they were able to feed 200 plus bikers which
was not an easy feat and everybody had a good time.

I give my congratulations to the Bansalan Airbrush Bike Club for a job well done.
It was their first time to stage this kind of event but they pulled it through despite
the overwhelming odds. Rest assured they will be back for more and they promise to
stage a bigger event that bike enthusiasts will never forget.
