The Blitzkrieg strikes again
By: Arnel B. Santos-Ynigo
In the Novice open Jaypee Gado and Bobby Mencias dominated the qualifying rounds in the morning in their separate heats. The sun was up and this allowed the riders to go at it full throttle. However things would change drastically in the final round in the afternoon. The rain was pouring and the track was littered with water patches. Bobby "the Blitzkrieg" Mencias would go on unchallenged all the way to the finish line as he built a lead early-on and as the race progressed the gap between the trailing pack was almost the length of the full straight-away. The highlights of the race would be the battle for 2nd between RJ Manlise and Robbie Enriquez the two were engaged in furious battle all the way to the finish line they kept exchanging leads until RJ kept the lead for good all the way to the checkered flag, they were trailed by Eduardo Borden and Jessie Garcia. The crowd turner during the practice runs Andrei Ursal ended up 11th after repetitive crashes and Jaypee Gado who dominated the first round was not quite himself in the afternoon ending up at 12.
