OZR Cup 2008 3rd Leg Beginner Superstock 125 Results

Honda XRM125 Motard shines in difficult race conditions
By: Arnel B. Santos-Ynigo

In the beginner superstock 125 Kenneth Ouano was on fire controlling a commanding lead over Joshua Abellar and Lyndon Requilme. Behind them was Keken Cabahug and Reman Colina battling for 4th. As unpredictable the weather was during that day, the same would be reflected on this particular race as the lead kept changing as the top riders suffered multiple crashes. you will never know who will win. The track was wet and proved to be a problem for everyone except Reman Colina onboard his Honda XRM125 motard. In a race dominated by Yamaha for 2 legs Honda has now resurfaced once again. Adapting a motard style riding proved effective on the very slippery track Reman Colina enjoyed a big lead all the way to the checkered flag. He was followed by Joshua Abellar and Kenneth Ouano who managed to recover after enduring several crashes. Keken Cabahug managed to bounce back after a disappointing run in the 110 category as he managed 4th. Lydon Requilme was not able to go for the double win in the beginner category as he suffered a crash in the later rounds ending up at 5th.
