Welcome to Underbone Tuner

Underbone tuner is a free online magazine for Underbones, Scooters, Backbones and occasionally we might squeeze in a big bike or two . We have been covering small motorcycles modifying culture for over 8 years already and still counting. We have the latest updates/news on motorcycle racing events from all over the country such as circuit, motocross, flat track, endurance, trail and supermoto. We cover motorshows from all over the country. We cover the latest bike launches and the latest trends in bike modifying culture.

But at the core of Underbone Tuner is the bike modifying / customizing culture. We scour the country for the best motorcycle builders/modifiers. We feature the owners of these amazing bikes and the talented teams and individuals behind these bikes. We give you the story behind those builds and hopefully we inspire others to keep this fascinating culture alive.

This website is dedicated to all motorcycle enthusiasts, this our life, this is our passion, this is who we are. We may be riding different bikes but we share the same fascination and love for motorcycles. We are all brothers in two wheels.

Bobby "The Blitzkrieg" Mencias the King of the Novice Open

Photobucket

Photobucket

Blitzkrieg is a German compound literally meaning ‘lightning ’, but in context
blitz(schnell) (literally: lightning-fast) is a synonym for rush, quick or
fast offensive attack.

Ever since his impressive debut on the 1st leg (Novice Open) where he got
second place behind Jp Gado, Bobby Mencias would bounce back hard and totally
change how teams and riders prepare for each race. I remember him saying how
he hated 2nd place and that he would come back stronger, faster and much more
dangerous. Immediately right after the race he would make his preparations that
would propel him to underbone racing glory.

He was the catalyst that brought fire into the competition, he came like a
relentless tidal wave and would go on to challenge the top riders of Cebu. He
would go on to shake the very core of the Novice and Expert Open categories.
He immediately sparked an exciting rivalry between Zandro Fajardo. This rivalry
brought the suspense and excitement to the race that drove underbone racing fans
to a frenzy.

He emphasized the importance of hard work, discipline, physical and mental
preparation together with research in engine preparation. He was a perfect
role model for new upcoming riders. He was ever so humble and always open to
share advice to new riders.

Below are his achievements in the OZR Cup 2008 Season.

1. Expert Open 2nd Place for Season Championship
2. Novice Open Season Overall Champion
3. Super Motard Open 1st Place Final leg

Highlights and breakout performances:
1. OZR Cup 2008 2nd Leg Double winner Expert and Novice Open
2. OZR Cup 2008 3rd Leg Double winner Expert and Novice Open

Watch-out for the Blitzkrieg in action in the OZR Cup 2009 Racing Season.

Team X-Racing, a team that has took the Final Leg by storm winning double victories
for Beginner Superstock 110 and 125. Lead by the talented mechanic and coach
Insik Flores and the charismatic Race Manager Eyoy Solon, this team has made such an
impact they have brought the Superstock category into a whole new level.

Hard work and discipline pays off, thats what this team firmly believes in.
Two months before the race they were the first teams to be on the track practicing
8:00 am to 3:00 pm daily. They worked intensively in preparing their riders
Mario Borbon and Moises Munoz transforming them into the 1-2 punch lightning bolt
on the track.

Mario and Moises came from a drag racing backgrounds and were virtually newcomers to
circuit racing but intensive training under the watchful eye of Insik Flores have
made them into formidable opponents on the track. They have been with X-Racing
for 6 years.

In an Interview with Insik Flores. I asked him whats the secret behind the double
victory of X-racing? He said practice always, focus on improving your riding skills
stay away from unhealthy bisyo and always be disciplined.

X-Racing is one of the hottest rising teams that have graced the OZR Cup Racing
series. Be sure to check them out in action in the 2009 racing season.
